We have compiled early learning resources to help parents and carers with learning and caring for their child.
We provide all parents with early learning resources, guidance and hints and tips such as the "What to expect, when?" created by 4Childen and supported by the Department for Education.
Nutrition in Early Years - Guidance for Parents
It is a guiding principle of Giant Leap Nursery that children receive the proper nutrition in early years to develop to their full potential.
Whether it is advice about how to make your own baby food, manage allergies, deal with overweight children or deal with constipation, our nutrition guidance will give you some great advice on what you can do to alleviate or manage some of these issues.
Good nutrition in early years stars with great healthy menus, at Giant Leap we update our menus on a regular basis and ask our children for feedback on their favourite meals. For recipe inspiration take a look at our Parent Recipe booklet available at reception, just ask one of the nursery staff at Giant Leap if you would like a copy or contact us and we will get one sent out to you.
We are passionate about good nutrition in early years and that’s why we follow the Cook and Grow initiative, where we plant and grow our own fruit and vegetables in our own allotments and teach children about where food comes from, how to care for plants to make them grow, what makes a healthy diet and how to make healthy choices.
