Giant Leap Childcare and Learning Centre was founded in 2012 and is a family-run group of nurseries determined to offer the very best in childcare, learning and fun. Our setting in Padiham, Knight Hill Day Nursery, opened in September 2023 and has been lovingly refurbished to offer a magical environment for children to thrive in.
We are located inside the beautiful Memorial Park and we pride ourselves on offering:

- A team of committed, long-serving staff who are fully trained and qualified, and passionate about providing excellent childcare, affection, warmth and dedication to each child.

- A term-time nursery and pre-school accepting all funded childcare places from 9months to 5 year olds open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Our Environment
Knight Hill Day Nursery is set in Memorial Park inside the historic Knight Hill House. Our Nursery occupies three large, bright and fun-filled rooms including a separate dining room as well as access to a beautiful garden and outdoor play area.
Our team have worked hard to create a home from home environment that provides a gentle transition from home to nursery life. There is no shortage of quality time and care for your children and there are also a wide range of daily activities for your little one to enjoy including lots of curiosity & messy play.
We make pick up and drop off easy with an onsite car park and we are surrounded by a large park with lots of nature trails and a playground providing the best opportunities for safe trips and outings into the community.
Our Free Childcare Session Times
We are open term-time Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and welcome all funded sessions from 9 months to 5 year olds including 15 hours and/or 30 hours free childcare. You can find out and check your eligibility for funded childcare hours by visiting the Childcare Choices website www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
Additional hours can be purchased at the Lancashire County Council Funded Rate. We are happy to answer any questions you may have and help you decide which funding option works best for you.
