Go Outdoors Nature Play & Outdoor Learning

Go Outdoors Nursery and Pre-School is the realisation of a shared dream to give children the best start in life by being free to play in a natural environment.

 

We are a free, funded term-time only nursery for 2–5 year olds and have created a truly wonderful indoor and outdoor space for children to enjoy every day.

We pride ourselves on offering:

  • A welcoming, safe and stimulating environment that supports each child.
  • A team of committed, long-serving staff who are fully trained and qualified, and passionate about providing excellent childcare, affection, warmth and dedication to each child.
  • Large, bright and spacious rooms with ensuites and additional soft play and music areas as well as access to their own gardens – even our babies have their own rooftop garden terrace!
  • Our very own outdoor learning centre with forest school, adventure playground, campfire, vegetable garden, stream and woodland trail.
  • Home cooked meals with award-winning healthy recipes, including hot lunch and hot tea made onsite by our head chef.
  • Onsite private car park ensures pick-ups and drop-offs are easy and stress-free.
  • A truly unique and magical place in a stunning location surrounded by 3 acres of secure gated private land with trees and nature providing a peaceful environment away from traffic noise and pollution.
  • Open all year round Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 18pm with flexible care packages to suit parents’ work pattern.

Surrounded by trees, set in its own private 3 acres of land with our own purpose-built building, our setting for Go Outdoors provides a safe, welcoming environment for your children and you.

 

We provide an endless range of exciting opportunities for children to experience including an all-weather outdoor classroom, all-weather campfire pit, adventure playground, pirate ship, sand/mud pits, stream, bike-ability course, woodland area and vegetable garden – our children learn from an abundance of natural learning resources.

 

Our building has 4 activity rooms including a separate dining room, nappy changing & toilet facilities and sleep spaces to ensure that children feel safe and secure and offers a warm, dry place when the weather turns cold. We encourage free-flow play from the indoors to the outdoors and children have continual access to our gardens and outdoor classrooms as we believe in the importance of outdoor learning and play.

Go Outdoors Educational Approach

 

We play in mud. We jump in puddles. We plant seeds and eat home grown food. We climb trees. We have lots of fun. We make memories. At Go Outdoors we embrace a range of theories and methods, including Montessori and Reggio, and a mixture of two approaches, The Curiosity Approach and Forest Schooling. We combine them all together into our own ‘Go Outdoors’ Educational Approach.

Our Free Childcare Session Times

 

We are open term-time Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 15pm and welcome all funded sessions for 2 to 5 year olds including 15 hours and/or 30 hours free childcare.
